Tae Kwon Do is a traditional martial art and and modern sport developed in 1955, and has now become the most popular martial art int he world.
Tae Kwon Do was developed for self-defence, fitness and character development, with morals based upon courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit. these five tenets are displayed in each class that everyone attends, instilling self-confidence, a desire to work hard to achieve goals, increase fitness, and improve co-ordination.
Modern Tae Kwon Do has now grown from being a purely self-defence martial art, into a fast paced sport with traditional values.
The first Tae Kwon Do Schools in Crewe and Nantwich were opened in 1986 by Mr Leslie Wright, 7th Dan. The schools have had over 250 adults and children achieve black belt, or become world, national and regional Tae kwon Do champions. The Tae kwon Do clubs at Crewe, Nantwich and Wychwood have developed a fantastic reputation in the area for quality instruction, high standards and unrivaled success.
Leslie Wright’s Tae Kwon Do schools are members of the Tae kwon Do Association Of Great Britain, Europes largest Tae kwon Do Association, and recognised by Sport England.
